Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery’s Post-Doctoral Thesis Proposal Meeting Held Successfully

On the eve of the National Day, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery and Qingdao University of Science and Technology held a thesis proposal meeting for jointly training post-doctors. Dr. Zhang Dewei and Dr. Wu Bing from Qingdao University of Science and Technology presented their subjects the Research on Complete Equipment and Key Technologies of Rubber Crusher and the Research on Key Technologies and Applications of Internal Mixer Remote Intelligent Fault Diagnosis Based on Internet of Things, obtaining the successful opening of their subjects.

Zhang Dewei and Wu Bing, the fourth Doctors of Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Post-doctoral Research Station, graduated from the Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics and Mechanical Engineering Department of Qingdao University of Science and Technology and were taught by Professor Wang Chuansheng, Shandong Taishan Scholar and Doctoral Supervisor enjoying special government subsidies of the State Council.

Amid the background of the upgrading of the current rubber tire industry, Dr. Wu Bing’s thesis proposal aims to improve the performance of an internal mixer by taking the mixer as the application object, the network communication technology as the support, and the intelligent fault diagnosis technology as the core. The research goal of Dr. Zhang Dewei's project is to develop a set of key technologies and complete equipment for continuous breaking and premixing of raw rubber. These technologies and equipment independently developed by ourselves are designed to solve the problem of automatic weighing and feeding of rubber materials and to improve the quality of rubber blending.

At the meeting, the expert group discussed the research direction and feasibility of the research subject and put forward corresponding guidance based on the theory of the subject and the actual situation of the enterprise. The thesis proposals of the two doctors passed the appraisal of the experts. Professor Wang Chuansheng, the leader of the expert group, read the review opinion, believing that the subject goal is clear and the design scheme is feasible. He suggested that they need to further focus on the scientific research goal, agreeing to open the subject.

Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery has successfully trained 3 postdoctoral researchers since it set up its postdoctoral research station in 2006. Now, it has 2 doctors in the station. Meanwhile, Jin Jinyao, Chief Engineer and Professor-level Senior Engineer of Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery, enjoying the special subsidy from the State Council, was hired as a part-time professor at Qingdao University of Science and Technology, which has strengthened the links and communication between enterprises and universities and promoted the cooperation between enterprises, universities and research institutes to a deeper and higher level.

Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery has attached great importance to personnel training and product innovation. It has collaborated with colleges and universities to train 16 on-the-job graduate and doctoral students. It has used the post-doctoral workstation as a research innovation platform to link theory with practice via the industry-university-research cooperation. It has successively cooperated with the post-doctoral mobile station of Central South University and Qingdao University of Science and Technology to develop new products jointly, solve the technical bottleneck of enterprises, and make a number of innovative achievements so as to continuously promote the development of China’s rubber & plastics machinery Industry.
